Snooki's legal troubles cramp 'Jersey Shore' star's style

Pint-sized “Jersey Shore” personality Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has been sued for $7 million by a merchandising company that has accused her of trying to torpedo their deal to hawk her line.
The New York Post reported that SRG Ventures says the Princess of Poughkeepsie welshed on an agreement it had to market the Snooki-themed merchandise in November when the reality star negotiated directly with companies to sell her line of perfume.

Polizzi, 24, attempted to legally end her contract with SRG earlier in the year, claiming the New York-based company hadn’t done enough to market her brand of leopard-print sunglasses, sportswear and swimwear, according to the Daily Mail. She filed suit against SRG in October.
The countersuit against the breakout “Jersey Shore” star and her management company, Neon Entertainment, claims she refused to respond to pitches SRG brought her to sell Snooki-styled school supplies, watches, shoes and lingerie.
“Ms. Polizzi disputes SRG’s version of the facts and looks forward to her day in court,” one of Snooki's reps said.
Her perfume, priced at $45 a bottle, is packaged in a pink leopard print and zebra-striped container geared to teenage girls and fans of the hit MTV show.
Snooki’s lawsuit was filed in Ulster County, N.Y., but the Post reported that SRG attorney Robert J. Hantmann wants the case moved to Manhattan.
Snooki is not the only Jersey Shore cast member to enter a legal dispute with a fashion merchandiser. In November, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and MPS Entertainment filed a lawsuit against Abercrombie & Fitch, alleging that the retailer infringed on his trademark - that after asking that he not wear their clothes in the first place.
